To be honest, when we first started dating, my husband was quite the handsome guy.

The staff said his hair was very dark, so it needed to be bleached twice if he wanted the color to look bright.

He looked amazing.
People actually noticed. Compliments came in. He loved it.

From that day on, my husband became addicted to coloring his hair.
Any color he wanted, I supported him.

Later on, he started watching videos about glued wigs from China — the kind that lets you change hairstyles easily.
But they required shaving the middle of the head completely.
He only watched the videos. He wasn’t brave enough to try.

As his wife, I could feel it.
He was losing confidence.

When he went live on TikTok or chatted with friends, he wore a hat.
Soon, he owned many hats.

Some comments were quite harsh.
“Wow, your head reflects the light. My eyes hurt.”
“If you wear orange, you look like a monk. I almost want to give you alms.”
“You look better with a hat. Without it, it’s kind of funny.”

He would smile politely, then quietly put his hat back on.

Honestly, I was furious inside.
I sleep next to this man every day, and I’ve never had a problem with his head.
So who are these people to say things like that?

I started doing everything I could.
I bought soft lighting for behind the camera to reduce reflection.
Any shampoo people claimed could help hair growth — I bought it.
Vitamins? Bought them too.

If it helped his confidence, I was willing to pay.

A Story About My Husband’s Head

One day, he asked me,
“Do you think I should wear a wig?”

Instead, I suggested,
“What about perming your hair? It might make it look fuller.”

We tried a salon we found on TikTok.
It wasn’t great.
Not the stylist from the video, not the result we expected.
But at least his hair looked a bit thicker.

I never complained. I didn’t want to hurt his feelings.
I just said, “We’ll buy some curl cream. It’ll look better once you learn how to style it.”

And slowly… it worked.
He became more confident.
People stopped teasing and started asking about his hairstyle instead.

Almost a year later, while visiting my hometown, we found a really good salon.
The stylist was honest and professional.
He even refused to perm my husband’s hair at first because it was too short.

That honesty won my heart.

Near the end of the year, we went back.
I sat there for three hours watching my husband get his hair done — because if I didn’t sit with him, he wouldn’t relax.

When the styling was finished…
He looked incredible.

He smiled nonstop.
The kind of smile that reaches the ears.

He posted photos immediately.
The comments were positive. Very positive.

Now, he’s confident again.
He’ll probably keep this hairstyle for a long time.

And me?
No matter how bald his head gets,
no matter how little hair he has…

I still love him exactly the same.
